      Keeping you signed in, checking that a sign-in you started with Google is finished by the same browser, holding a part-finished listing while you fill it in, checking that a person rather than a script is reporting a car advert, and storing this consent choice itself. Switching these off would break the thing you asked us to do, so there is no switch.

      • Anti-abuse check (Cloudflare Turnstile). Checks that a person, not a script, is sending a report about a car advert or a dealership enquiry. Loaded only when you open the report form or start filling in the dealership enquiry form, and set by Cloudflare on its own domain rather than by YourCar.
      • Back to your search. Remembers which search you were on and which car you opened, so Back takes you to the same place in the same list.
      • Part-finished inspection checklist. Saves an inspection checklist as a garage fills it in, so closing the tab by accident does not lose the work.
      • Part-finished listing. Carries the registration you already typed across to the right listing form when your vehicle turns out to be a van or a bike, so you do not type it twice.
      • Sign-in session. Keeps you signed in as you move between pages, and signs you out when you ask.
      • Sign-in with a provider. Checks that the browser finishing a sign-in with Google is the one that started it, so nobody can sign you into someone else's account. Only set when you choose to sign in with a provider.
      • Signed-in details for when we are offline. Remembers that you are signed in and which parts of the site you can reach, so the menus still work if our servers stop answering mid-visit. It holds no name or email address.
      • What you were doing, kept while you sign in. Keeps the action you asked for (saving a car, sending a message, submitting your listing) while you sign in or create an account, so it finishes when you are back. During the email code step it also keeps your email address.
      • Your listing in progress. Keeps the listing you are building linked to this browser before you have an account, so you can come back to it and nothing is lost.
      • Your storage choices. Remembers what you allowed and refused on this device, so we neither store anything you said no to nor ask you again on every page.

      Every item above is listed with its lifetime in the Cookie Policy, which is generated from the same source as this page, so the two cannot drift apart. Your browser settings can clear this storage at any time, though clearing your sign-in tokens will sign you out. For anything else, email privacy@yourcar.im.
