See the car first
View it in person, in daylight, before you pay anything. Check the registration document is in the seller’s name and matches the car.
Check its condition
Read the service history. Give the car an all-round check: inside, outside and underneath. Then take it for a test drive.
Pay safely
Never pay a deposit for a car you haven’t seen. A bank transfer while you’re with the seller is safest. Be wary of anyone who wants paying through a link, or who can’t meet you.
